[attr="class","arrgenMAINTEXT"]Stonepaw has always been a somewhat reserved tom, but it's not because he's particularly unfriendly. In fact, he wants nothing more than to be able to connect with his clanmates and his peers-- but he generally has a hard time doing so. But once you get to know him, his kind and thoughtful nature will be made apparent very quickly. He cares deeply about his clanmates and does his best to assist anyone's needs, as well as he can at such a young age. He is very honored to have been chosen as Lionfire's apprentice, and as such feels as if he has a lot of high expectations on his shoulders and is determined to be able to meet those expectations. He fears letting down those who count on him, and is afraid of making any mistakes, even though he knows it's completely natural. Everyone makes mistakes, after all.

Stonepaw appears to be a calm and level-headed individual, and rarely appears to be bothered by anything. It's hard to ever get his fur ruffled, and he tends to take others' teasing in stride. Sometimes he even plays along, as he feels most comfortable around the peers his age. Stonepaw is incredibly sincere, to the point of blunt honesty, as he feels there is no need to hide anything from his clanmates. He is the one cat others come to for his total honesty. In that regard he is seen as reliable and dependable, someone others can count on in times of trouble. He does his best to live up to these expectations, and tries his hardest not to let them down. But even he has his limits, even if he may seem fine on the outside.

Stonepaw is friendly enough, but he is noticeably very soft-spoken. He doesn't talk much at all, and when he does it sounds more like a whisper. The problem is that he's cripplingly shy, and hates being in the spotlight. He doesn't like being the center of attention and will usually shrink, or try and hide behind Lionfire, or anyone beside him, in such situations. If he has news, he will relay it to Lionfire so that she can relay it to the rest of the clan. Though he knows he must work on this as he grows older, it's something he is nervous about and is not looking forward to. However, he does genuinely enjoy the day in, day out routine of a medicine cat. When it comes to memorizing herbs and noticing the little things, Stonepaw can't be beat.

Stonepaw can be rather skeptical on occasion, and has a hard time believing what others tell him. Perhaps due to him falling for too many pranks as a kit, he has developed a healthy skepticism as somewhat of a defense mechanism. If cats have enough facts to back up their words, he will be happy to take their word, but otherwise he will take others' words with a grain of salt. The young tom is also very indecisive, and will often overthink things. Even the smallest decisions will have him going back and forth for hours, deliberating and agonizing over the possible consequences. He's also very anxious in general, and seems to be just a bit paranoid. He always seems to be looking over his shoulder, and is more alert than anyone. As a plus, it makes him hard to sneak up on, so he doesn't end up getting a heart attack when one of his siblings tries to sneak up on him without warning.

Stonekit & Rock-kit are born, and from the moment their eyes and ears open, the two are the best of friends. Their father is largely absent, mainly busy with his warrior duties, so it's mostly just them and their mother. And the other queens and kits, of course. Stonekit begins have strange dreams once he's old enough to remember them, but most of the queens dismiss them as the usual flights of fantasy of kits. Even Rock-kit insists he's just having weird dreams. Believing them, Stonekit himself dismisses them as just that-- unusual dreams.

5 MOONS
His dreams persist, only getting stranger. He keeps meeting cats in his dreams, some he recognizes through stories the elders have told, and some he doesn't recognize at all. As he tells the other queens about these dreams, often describing cats long-since dead that he wouldn't have known any other way, his mother begins to recognize that Starclan must be speaking to him. She promptly hauls him off to Lionfire's den and insist that the molly take him on as her apprentice. "He's clearly been chosen by Starclan." She meows, completely sincerely. "They're speaking to him in his dreams."

So while Rockpaw went on to become a warrior apprentice, Stonepaw is assigned to Lionfire. But Stonepaw is apprehensive about the whole experience and can't help but question why. Why was he chosen out of everyone in the nursery? Why him over his more outgoing and well-liked brother? Does this mean he's... special?
