[attr="class","arrgenMAINTEXT"]Pebblepaw is most notably an intuitive young she-cat. Often, whenever she is silent, her young mind is making connections and reading in between the lines. Most of her observations are thoughtful, as she tries to grasp the bigger picture of most things in life. This in turn has made her somewhat of a clever cat, always capable of thinking outside the box.
Another defining quality of Pebblepaw is how optimistic she is. No matter how much bad she witnesses and experiences in life, she is capable of keeping a positive demeanor. Her bubbly, upbeat personality is infectious to some while it can also be annoying to others. Pebblepaw is also a caring cat, who will be the first to notice if someone is feeling down or not well.
Often, her caring nature makes her predispositioned to be a giving cat. Pebblepaw’s love language is gift-giving, as observed by all of her clanmates. The she-cat’s favorite hobby is sitting beside the river and collecting beautiful rocks, some of which end up gifted to others because of their qualities reminding her of the cat she’s bestowing them upon.
On the flip side of the coin, you have the young she-cat’s more negative qualities. With such a lively and loving cat, it should come to no surprise that Pebblepaw is extremely sensitive. Often cats who are too forward and abrasive hurt her feelings, maybe without even intending to. She feels everything very deeply and finds herself reading too much into things at times.
Pebblepaw unfortunately is also a very meek and submissive cat, so she has a hard time speaking up if something does upset her. This gives others the impression that she is a pushover, especially since she tries to avoid conflict at all costs. Pebblepaw will do anything to keep the peace.
Another unfavorable quality of the young she-cat is how forgetful she is, much to the dislike of her mentors. Especially when she’s spending time down by the river collecting rocks, she has a habit of losing track of time. So much is going on in that head of hers that she forgets meetings set up by her mentor or other important events.
Lastly, Pebblepaw has the tendency to be a naive cat, though one would expect that trait to contradict how bright and intuitive she usually is. Due to her good-natured self, she has a hard time comprehending and understanding the evils of some cats. Her lack of insight into the darkness of others can prove to be troublesome, and she’s too young to realize yet that not everyone is as well-meaning as herself.

[attr="class","arrgenMAINTEXT"]Pebblepaw was born to a RiverClan she-cat named Hailstorm. Pebblekit was the runt of the litter that consisted of her and two brothers: Sedgekit and Murk-kit. Early on in life she was immediately faced with challenges.
Not only was she feeble as the runt of the litter, but at first she was assumed to be still-born as she wasn’t moving or breathing. However, Nettleheart had realized she still had a pulse. Thanks to quick thinking on the behalf of their medicine cat, he was able to rasp his tongue over her and encourage her to take her first breaths.
This was not the end to the medical care she’d need in the beginning of her life, either. For reasons unknown, her immune system seemed to be compromised. Any small bout of sickness in the camp, Pebblekit was sure to catch, and it would have graver symptoms for her than for other cats. Often, in the earliest moons of her life, she’d find herself in the medicine den.
After three moons of age though she started to gain strength. Though she was still smaller than the average cat, her health was improving. No longer was she getting sick all the time, and she was displaying more energy the older she got.
However, she’d still sometimes find herself wandering to the medicine den. Nettleheart had become a prominent figure in her life, making an impression on her from her earliest memories. Whenever Sedgekit and Murk-kit would play too rough or pick on her too much, she’d storm off from her brothers and toward the medicine den to escape for a bit.
Her young, intuitive mind would pepper Nettleheart with questions about all the different kinds of herbs that could be found in the den. Pebblekit was intrigued and captivated by how magical they seemed. Whether or not the medicine cat found her presence to be annoying was unbeknownst to her as she enjoyed spending time in the same den that she had spent most of her early moons of life.
Many in the clan assumed she would become Nettleheart’s apprentice when she was old enough. However, both cats knew better, that it was not the life that was destined for the soon to become apprentice. While medicine was interesting to Pebblekit, she dreamed of becoming a warrior. She wanted to prove to Sedgekit and Murk-kit that even though she was small, she would be just as great of a warrior as any of them were.
At six moons of age, she was named Pebblepaw and apprenticed to a warrior she-cat of the clan named Minnowleap. Just like Pebblepaw, Minnowleap was a small she-cat with a large personality. Whitestar considered the pairing perfect, as the young warrior could show the apprentice how to make due with her setbacks, and use her other qualities to her advantage.
The two she-cats bonded immediately and trained often. Pebblepaw loved and adored her mentor and wanted to be just like Minnowleap when she became a warrior. Everything went well, and then suddenly that fateful gathering came where Emberstar threatened RiverClan.
It didn’t take much common sense to know what awaited them. Minnowleap was anxious, but she made Pebblepaw train even harder as they prepared for an inevitable battle.
And it came.
It was a day with little warning. Vipereye came to RiverClan asking for backup and Whitestar obliged to rid the forest of Emberstar once and for all. Quickly, Yellowstrike assigned the patrol that would head to WindClan, and Minnowleap and Pebblepaw were selected to join.
This terrified Pebblepaw, but Minnowleap promised her that everything would be fine. She told her apprentice to stick by her the entire battle and they’d make it out together. Everything would be okay.
But it would serve as a lesson that things in life don’t always go as planned.
While the two she-cat’s fought hard, they were not prepared for the vicious blood thirst that ensued. No one was. Half of WindClan fought hard to not lose their home. It was a battle unlike any border spat she’d previously participated in.
In the chaos, Pebblepaw lost her footing on the hard, rocky WindClan terrain. When a WindClan tom launched himself at her there was no mistaking the sickening sound of bone shattering that rang in the air followed by her blood curdling scream.
Hearing the sound of her apprentice in danger, Minnowleap quickly turned to take on the cat who would’ve surely killed her. Pebblepaw quickly fainted from the pain and blood loss. When she came to later in the medicine den she could not comprehend the news that was delivered to her.
In the battle, Minnowleap had lost her life along with countless others, including Whitestar. When Yellowstrike came back from the moonstone as Yellowstar, he appointed Thistletail as her new mentor for when she’d be able to resume her training.
Currently, Pebblepaw is trying to keep her head up and manage her feelings of grief and despair. However, the road to recovery is still far off on the horizon both physically and mentally. Her broken leg is sure to take moons to heal, and a part of her worries that it’ll never be the same as before it was broken. There may come a point where she has to relearn how to be a warrior and how to work with even more setbacks than she did before.
