Ferret raced against the strong breeze that was pushing against him his striped fur was ruffled ever so slightly being a short haired cat it didn’t bother him much as it would a long haired clan mate.
“Gotchu” he murmured his back legs spring loaded as he leapt forward taking down a nice fat rabbit possibly even heavily pregnant if he was lucky. Standing over his catch Ferret-Toe’s ears flicked at the sound of nearby footsteps coming his way. He sniffed attempting to pick up the scent as a breeze hits him and he’s forced to close his eyes as they started to water.

He padded up to the older warrior, feathery tail flagged high in greeting. He was certainly longer-furred than his companion, but he didn't let the breeze bother him as it buffeted his pelt. The young warrior offered the other an easy smile, then raised his head to look across the moor.
"Beautiful day, isn't it?" Now his hazel eyes turned back towards Ferret-toe as a playful smile crossed his muzzle. "'M probably supposed to go do a patrol or somethin', but I couldn't resist the nice weather. Plus I guess I needed a little time to myself for a bit, y'know? Anyway, how've you been, friend?" |

“Oh yes, it is a nice day!” Ferret turns dropping a bit of fur that was in his mouth and grins at his clan-mate. “I could go for a walk, you mind some company after I drop this at her kill pile?” He picks up the plump rabbit and starts dragging it towards camp. “I’ve been good” he says now having returned from dropping off the rabbit. He picks up speed before playfully bumping against Wheat’s side. “C’mon let’s patrol near the shadow clan border hmm?” He bounds across the moor land happily. Tagging: Wheatcloud |

When Ferret-toe returned, he padded after him, smiling gently. "Glad to hear it." His ears perked at the mention of a patrol, and his immediate reaction was to say no. Too much thinking, too much potential danger...
The young tom realized he was just standing there with a glazed look in his eyes and quickly blinked, hurrying to catch up as Ferret-toe raced away from him. Lying dropped a heavy stone into the pit of his stomach, weighing him down, but..."Sure, Ferret, that sounds fine. Can't let those rascally ShadowClanners steal our rabbits, huh?" And then Wheatcloud fell silent, focusing his attention on his running. At least he was with another cat and not alone. Viperstar would probably never let him hear the end of it if he was found to stray close to the border alone. Not with all those rogues around. |

WheatcloudFerret just shakes his head “they won’t get past me!” He grins head held up high as he pauses to mark a nearby tree just to get the point across. “You remember that one battle? The one in which I ripped that poor sods ear clean off!” He boasted leaping up onto a fallen log and glances down at Wheat. “Did I ever tell you about the weird dream I had a few nights ago? Our clan was lead by someone named Snake and then the two legs attacked a cat named Raindrop! It was weird, do you think it means anything?”
