Once upon a time he and his mentor Fire-Mouse were very close almost like a uncle which is why it hurt terribly that he was the one who chased his mother off saying that a dog had chased her and she was presumed dead. Ram was forced to keep this secret into adulthood even from his sister who mourned the death of her mother. Ram knows that if the impure bloodline relationship were to be found out he and his sister would be banished and life would be even harder

Their father, Shallow Bug was a Riverclan warrior and had a forbidden and secret relationship between the pair of cats thus Ramkit and Deerkit were born. Being in another clan the pair hardly saw their father. It wasn’t until after their apprentice ceremony that their mother took them to the boarder that they got to meet him face to face. It was Rampaw’s mentor Fire-mouse that eventually found out about his father. Shit went down unfortunately and his mother was banished by fire-mouse himself leading to a rift between Ram-paw and his mentor. Cut to many moons later and Ram-paw is transformed into Ram-Runner and his sister into Deerfur. Even with his family torn apart Ram-Runner still tries to be a faithful warrior to Thunderclan
