Minkpaw

Minkpaw is not your normal spazzy kitten. She wasn't allowed to be herself as a kit, nor was she allowed to really play as a kit. She was watched almost 24/7 by her mother and father when he wasn't busy and was specifically taught by them her role in the clan. So she's taken on a calm air about her, staying out of trouble and keeping herself on everyone's good side.

+ OBSERVANT
Pretty self-explanatory, but Minkpaw can be very observant of how other cats are behaving. She's not particularly empathetic, but she is intuitive toward others' emotions. She's very good at listening and very good at remembering information. Especially if she's going to need it later.

+ GRACEFUL
Minkpaw is very graceful and takes good care of herself, especially her fur and figure. She doesn't eat much, and when she does it's most definitely not enough. Everything she does is done with a picture-perfect image. Keeping her talent in beauty and strength as her most powerful weapon. Clumsiness and mistakes are extremely frustrating to her and make her very upset.

+ SOCIAL
Being liked and popular is very important to Minkpaw. While she didn't learn it from her parents, she knew that she didn't want to fall behind despite her own setbacks. Besides, she's not particularly quick, or strong, or smart, so she has to make up for it by becoming the cheerleader for the other apprentices and warriors. This means she's incredibly encouraging as well as affectionate.

+ LOYAL
Despite getting others to do things for her, Minkpaw is very strong in her love for Thunderclan. Maybe she's a little manipulative and lazy, but she's strong for true blood and will fight for her clan whenever the time presents itself. She can also be very loyal to friends once she's made the connection with others. But she distances herself from family.

- VAIN
If anything, Minkpaw is beautiful and she knows it. Graceful and lovely, she stands with her head held high because she knows she was made for something great. She plays as though she's a beautiful and strong voice in the clan, but is really hiding behind this persona to keep herself from being vulnerable.

- SHELTERED
Minkpaw did not have a nice kithood. Her parents kept her away from the other kits and even outside of the nursery. So she never really got a chance to make friends in her kithood, even when there were several kits her age at the time. She's making up for it now with her butterfly-type attitude and with the help of ignoring her parents.

- HIDING
Putting on a mask is what Minkpaw does best. She's not exactly truthful about some things, being afraid that others might use her information, or might see her true self, which is an insecure and terrified little she-kit. So she makes herself look appealing to those around her, especially since she hates being alone and desperately wants friends besides her parents.

- MANIPULATIVE
Honestly, Minkpaw doesn't really know how the rest of the clan works. She was taught that she was a strong force in the clan and in a sheltered atmosphere, so she's still learning how to be part of the clan. She was taught by her parents, who were manipulative and pushy, to be just as manipulative, although she's not pushy. She would much rather manipulate through relationship and knowledge than anything else.

- INDECISIVE
Minkpaw doesn't know what she wants. Not really. Does she want kits? a family? A mate? Does she really want to be a warrior or a queen for the rest of her life? It's not as though there are many choices for her in clan society. What she DOES know, is that she wants to feel safe with someone, to be able to be herself around them. Whether that's a mate, a best friend, a rival, she doesn't know.

[attr="class","arrgenMAINTEXT"]Even from the moment you were born your parents saw you as a molly made to mate and have kits. Your mother, Deerpetal, groomed you every day. Showing you how to be a Thunderclan Molly. You were to love kits, love a tom, and love your clan. Your father, Duskmask, taught you everything you needed to know before you became an apprentice.

Because of this, you are stuck in a cycle of acceptance and declination. Pouring your heart into your clan, accepting that you're a Thunderclan cat, but fighting your mother and father about the suiters they tried to throw you with. But you were still too young to understand and so fought it with all your might. You were a beautiful and graceful kit, after all, you could choose who you wanted.

Apprenticeship came around and you were thrust into the apprentice's den, not really knowing any of the apprentices yourself. Your parents sheltered you and kept you separate from the others, and while they still try, lecturing you about your "duty" to the clan, you now have your mentor and the other apprentices as influences. It's going to be different, you say. Even though you've taken on a picture-perfect face to make others like you.
