[attr="class","arrgenMAINTEXT"]PASSIONATE: it doesn't matter what other cats think about him, aloepaw absolutely loves his job. just because he has a hard time showing it in a compassionate way, doesn't mean he's apathetic. it just means he's terrible with social cues.

CALM: when it comes to cats who are sick or hurt he has the habit of knowing just how to handle the situation and always walks into it in a calm manner despite everyone else panicking around him.

OBSERVANT: unfortunately, aloepaw was cursed with intense and intimidating eyes due to the manner of his birth. he can oftentimes be found staring at other cats as if he's studying them, but this is simply his way of making sure everything about a cat is well and good. he can often catch the early signs of greencough this way, along with other ailments. they are both a blessing and a curse, although it can sometimes make the other cats a bit nervous to enter the den.

HARD-WORKING: no one can deny that aloepaw works hard. having been pushed into an essential position as young as he was put him in a place where freedom and hobbies were a luxury and work was a necessity. he seems to be constantly working. others have to tell him when he can have a break. but it's alright because he absolutely loves his job.

INTELLIGENT: while he's not perfect, his mind is as sharp as ice. he can see things almost before other cats can and is very clever in knowing how to handle such things. he's very quick to know what herb does what and he's very good at knowing how to use them.

SPIRITUAL: aloepaw is very strong in his spiritual belief in starclan. he views them in high regard, knowing that no matter what happens, they are always in control.

STOIC: emotions are a very hard thing for aloepaw. they can often overwhelm him to extreme levels and can become a problem if he allows them to. social situations are not his forte and he can even get flustered when it comes to people asking him too many questions. so he just stops answering them. in fact, he ends up having a very stoic and intimidating expression when he's resting his face.

OBLIVIOUS: this goes back to the social cues thing, he just doesn't get it. he can get very frustrated with himself because someone got angry with him and he just didn't sense it. or he's not very good at giving bad news because of his inability to understand how people work emotionally.

ECCENTRIC: aloepaw is a little on the odd side. he keeps his herbs in a specific order, recites poems when he's stressed, everything has to be in its right place for him to be alright. this can sometimes relate to other cats as well.

BLUNT: aloepaw is very good at speaking his mind. and not only does he speak his mind, but he says exactly what he means to say, no more and no less.

[attr="class","arrgenMAINTEXT"]✽ aloekit was born to skywind and stormwing. two great young parents. they did everything they could do to take care of their only son, but even then he wasn't the easiest child to deal with. he didn't cry, he didn't speak until he was around 4 moons old, he was quiet, watchful. never played with any other kit in the nursery. in fact, they were mostly all creeped out by him anyway. he would get stressed out in social situations and would organize their nest almost constantly. skywind tried to love him. she really did, but she couldn't understand why he wouldn't try to relate with her. stormwing seemed to understand him more and would spend as much time as he could with him.

✽ skywind couldn't handle the pressure of a kit that nobody liked and disowned him as her kit. after that she moved directly into the warrior's den, despite the backlash she got from the rest of the clan and handed off the pressure of taking care of him to lichenleaf. another young mother who skywind had seen trying to play with him. her kits were thrushkit and copperkit. while he wouldn't play with them, copperkit came to understand how aloekit worked and began translating his emotions for him.

✽ aloekit thrives under lichenleaf and stormwing's care, despite understanding the new tension that had formed between his father and biological mother. he'd never forgotten her. and never will forget her and the way she abandoned him the way she did. but he forgives and forgets her, and instead focuses on lichenleaf, stormwing, and copperkit, who all begin to understand the way he ticks. he is loved and cared for by all three.

✽ thrushkit never really had an interest in aloekit, in fact, he started to bully him a little bit when no one else was looking. he's the one who started calling him pipsqueak, for his tiny size. aloekit never really spoke to him, but he remembered every little thing that he did. and while a stronger cat might have done something about that, aloekit decided to ignore him in order to survive through it. that didn't mean it wasn't painful. he just decided to never talk to thrushkit again.

✽ when nettleheart approached him to become a medicine cat apprentice, he was happy to oblige. not because he didn't want to be a warrior, but because he'd felt the pull to the medicine cat's den ever since he could step outside the nursery. he obliged because he felt like he could do so much more for the clan as a medicine cat, despite his strange personality.
